There was a separate Sunday schedule with trains leaving for the city at: 8:18AM, 11:27AM , 3:03PM, 4:15PM, 6:26PM, 7:32PM and 10:21PM and trains departing the city at: 9:13AM, 10:24AM, 1:09PM, 5:45PM, 9:02PM and 12:05AM. The travel time was the same at about and hour and a half for the faster trains.

The slowest trains were the early moring runs that took about 2 hours and a half. The commuter trains took about an hour and a half.


King Pedlar

King Pedlar, a photographer and local Long Island Historian. worked as a psychiatric aide at the Kings Park mental hospital and lived on the grounds for 31 years. He wrote in November 2007 to share some information on Smithtown and Central Islip.
