Sailed with brother George 1931 Nassau, Bahamas. Sailed 1938 with brother Herbert from San Francisco and Los Angeles, address 825 Alexander Ave, Drexel Hill, Pa. Burial: Mary "C" Bacon, age 65, 5/26/1931, Friends South Western Burial Ground, Upper Darby, PA. Burial: Horatio Wood Bacon, age 84, buried 5/21/1947, Friends South Western Burial Ground, Upper Darby, PA.

  2. John circa 1866. In 1900 listed in Bensalem, Bucks county, Pennsylvania medical doctor, not married, with two servants. Burial: John Bacon M. D. age 50, August 2, 1915, Friends South Western Burial Ground, Upper Darby, PA

Married Winifred M __ had Barbara, John and Helen listed in Oakland, Alameda, California, tractor salesman 1920. Listed in 1930 owning home valued at $10,000, one servant, civil engineer utility co., Winifred was listed as a music teacher, John age 21 was listed as a clerk Standard Oil. Sailed 1938 with is brother Horatio from San Francisco/ Los Angeles. Died Alameda California, 2 November 1955. Burial: Herbert M Bacon, age 89, 11/3/1955, Friends South Western Burial Ground, Upper Darby, PA. Burial Winifred: Unknown.

    Birth: May 6, 1869, Greenwich, New Jersey

    Marriage: Caroline T. Mitchell 1904*. Caroline was born in St Cloud, Minnesota.

    * Date based on the obituary of Caroline Mitchell Bacon (New York Times, August 28, 1931). The obituary says they were married in 1904. Also, it seems that GW Bacon remarried in 1943, marrying Caroline's cousin Elizabeth Mitchell.

    "Miss Elizabeth Ann Mitchell, daughter of the late Mr and Mrs. Charles S Mitchel of St. Cloud, Minn. to Mr. George Wood Bacon of 23 West 67th St., on Friday June 12, 1943."

1900 Camden, New Jersey, Joshia head April 1834, age 66, married 38 years, no occupation, Caroline W wife September 1835, age 64 9 children 8 still alive, Herbert M son --- 1867, insurance agent, J Courtland Aug 1878, shoe dealer, Caroline A daughter March 1882, and three boarders, two listed as servants one as a coachman.
