William Lahiff

A light went out in the Lahiff-Giordano family when William passed away on July 17, 2003, due to pulmonary disease. He died while at his home in Tucson, Arizona. William was preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret. After his marriage to Marge, he re-located from New York City to Barre where he lived with his wife and their sons Michael Giordano, Nicholas Giordano, and Kevin Giordano. During his working-life, William was dedicated telephone repairman servicing the residents and businesses of central Vermont. After his retirement, he spent his summers at Greenwood Lake enjoying his grandchildren, and the remainder of the year in Tucson with many family and friends. William's wit and charm were unmatched; his intellectual search, a passion. The grandchildren and grand nephews and nieces were all energized when a visit was forthcoming, as he never had lost his youth. God had given him a magnetic personality and he used it well, and generously, endearing everyone who met him. His four-year wait to be re-united with Marge is now ended. His life-long wait to meet his Savior has also been successfully completed. There will be a memorial service on Saturday August 16, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustine's Church in Montpelier.
