Since the Saalfeld name is rather limited in Ganderkesee, and all the records are related in some way, it can be assumed that the Saalfeld family arrived in Ganderkesee in the early 1700s. It is not known where they came from.

Also Magdalena the wife of Harmen Jansen was a witness to the children of Claus Thomas Saalfeld (Anna Magrete in 1734) and Johann Christopher (Anna Margrete in 1739). See below.
