Questions
- Rose Maher Newman Petermann had a daughter, Grace,
who was listed with them in the various censuses. Where was she in 1910 when she would
have been six years old?
- My father, Bud Land, always said that his grandfather was a tug boat "pilot" who
led the big ships into port. Clearly it was an uncle who was a tug boat captain. Bud also
told me once that he visited John Petermann and his family in New Jersey after we had
moved to
New Jersey (1951). Was he talking about his uncle or his cousin?
- What happened to John Petermann the third? There is not listing for him in the SSDI. Did
he marry and have children?
- What happened to Christoph Petermann? He was listed in the SSDI as having died in
North Carolina in 1991. Did he marry and have children?
