Bud Land said that Christian Petermann lived with his sister, Meta, and her husband, Percy, in the attic of their house in Smithtown for an unknown period of time. There are photos of him with Meta and Percy and their family from circa 1917 to 1922.

Death 1933

"Christopher" Petermann, age 50, labourer, born in U. S., son of John Petermann, born Germany, and Sophie Stuyer, born Germany, died on June 1, 1933 about 7:45 AM, in the Hudson Counry Alms House, in Secausus, New Jersey, cause of death, Pulmonary Tuberculoses and myocarditus. His address was listed as unknown, Hoboken. He was attended by a physician in the alms house from May 25, 1933. Christian Petermann was buried in Flower Hill Cemetery in North Bergen on June 3, 1933.
