Lodge and Entrance to Castle Point, Hoboken, N.J.,
Not posted. |
| Postcard collection of Maggie Land Blanck In March 2008 Joe Finnerty informed me that this gate, "still stands near the Administration Building, east of Hudson Terrace. The other main entrance, the one across from the church, was a three portal arch, two for pedestrian and one for vehicles. When it became structurally unsafe, the school tore it down, much to my regret. The arch was known as the Green Gate and adjoined my fraternity building (Chi Phi) at 801 Hudson Street." | |

You are looking east toward the campus from Hudson Street towards Castle Point Terrace. The buildings on the left are fraternities. There were ten back then, but only one of them actually had a building on campus." Joe Finnerty, March 2008 | |
