Gerhard Blanck was born in Germany circa 1777, the son of Johann Freidrick Blanck . He married Catherine Brunjes in 1804. They had three children born in Lehe between 1808 and 1817. Catherine died and Gerhard married Margarethe Tahnchen in 1827. They had three children between 1829 and 1836. Margarethe died in 1846. Gerhard died in 1849.

Gerhard Blanck, linenweaver, the son of Johann Freidrich Blanck, married Catherine Brunjes, the daughter of Hienrich Brunjes of Wachholtz, on December 14, 1804.

This marriage was one of seven marriage in Lehe that year.

   Death: Catherine Margareta Blanck was buried on January 31 1809, age 9 months.

2. Johann Fredrick Blanck, son of Gerhard Blanck and Catherine Brunjes, was baptized on September 16, 1810.

   Witnesses: Johann Freidrich Blanck, J. Steinberg, Conr. Hadeler, Fr. Kocten.

   Johann Friedrich Balnck was confirmed on March 26, 1826.

   Marriage: "Young man" Johann Fredrich Blanck ___ and ___ man, the son of Gerhard Blanck married (can't read) Dahm, the daughter of (can't read) Dahm, on November 29, 1833.

   Children:

   1. Georg Gottfried, the son of Johann Friedrich Blanck, and Lucce ___ , nee Dahm born on January 25, and baptized on February 15, 1835. Witnesses:___, Joh. Gottfreid Blanck, _____, ____ , _____ .

   Seven Year Break

3. Heinrich Christopher Blanck was born December 20, and baptized on December 26, 1817, the son of linenweaver, Gerhard Blanck and Catherine "Pranges".

   Witnesses: Heinrich "Pranges", Johann Niclaus Hahn, Jurgen Christopher Blanck, Rebecca Heclshorn and Metta Rapmus.

   Heinrich Christopher Blanck was confirmed on April 8, 1833.

   Marriage: Heinrich Christopher Blanck, mason, son of linenweaver, Gerhard Blanck and and Catherine, nee Brunjes, married Dorethe Christina Wenzel, the daughter of shoemaker, Johann Christian Wenzel, and Anna Margarete Bena Sophia Marwede on November 15, 1843.

   Children: They had four children between 1844 and 1851. Their son, Hienrich, emigrated to Hoboken, New Jersey.

   Catherine Frederike Elizabeth Blanck, the daughter of linenweaver, Gerhard Blanck, was confirmed at age 15 in 1844.

   Child: Johann Dietrick Blanck, the son of Catherine Friederike Elizabeth Blanck born May 28, 1852, baptized April 18, 1852. Among the sponsors were (?) Blanck and Gottfied Blank. It does not appear that Catherine was married when she had this child.

   Death of Johann Dietrick Blanck: Johann Dietrick, age 4 months, son of Catherine Friedrike Elizabeth Blanck died on August 5, 1852 and was buried on August 9, 1852.

2. Johann Diedrich, son of Gerhard Blanck and Elizabeth Tahnchen, was born on February 12 and baptized on March 4, 1831.

   Johann Dietrich Blanck son of Gerhard Blanck was confirmed in 1849.

3. Gottfried Hienrich Wilhelm Blanck, son of Gerhard Blanck and Margarethe Elizabeth Tahnchen was born November 29, 1835 and baptized on May 5, 1836.

   Gottfried Hienrich Wilhelm Blanck was confirmed in 1851.

Death of Margarethe Tahnchen

Elizabeth, nee Tahnken, age 48, wife of Gerhard Blanck died on August 24, 1848 and was buried on August 26, 1848.

Death of Gerhard Blanck

Gerhard Blanck, age 72, widower of Margarethe Elizabeth Maria, nee Tahnken, died on August 9 and was buried on August 13, 1849.
